Faith's Journey is a ministry of music that performs over 120 dates a year from coast to coast. This ministry is comprised of Jonathan Edwards MC and Baritone for the group, His wife Deana Edwards Soprano, and Lee Hendrix Tenor and pianist. Faith's Journey has ministered on small and large stages across the country singing great traditional gospel music. They have been featured performers at Branson's Silver Dollar City as well as had their music played on radio stations across the country, If you are looking for the perfect blend of Christian Entertainment and Ministry this is the group for you.
Jonathan was saved at the age of 6 in Humboldt TN where his dad was Pastor. He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield Mo where he began his radio career at KWFC ( 100,000 watt Christian Radio station in Springfield MO). While attending BBC, Jonathan toured with a gospel group called Tribute. He has served as Youth pastor, Music pastor and Senior Pastor, but his love for Southern Gospel Music keeps bringing him back to radio and singing. He has been nominated In the top 5 2 times for Favorite DJ of the year in the medium market by the subscribers of the Singing News Magazine. In 2012 he won the Paul Heil Award for Favorite Broadcast Personality by the Diamond Awards and SGN Scoops. Over the past few years he has had a syndicated Southern Gospel Radio show on over 20 stations. Jonathan was nominated in the Top 5 Male Vocalist of the year in Branson, Missouri He has traveled with Final Call and The Ascension Quartet before meeting his wife Deana and forming/owning Faith's Journey.
Deana Edwards born in Bratt, Florida and saved at the age of 11 in her home church. She began singing at the early age of 4 singing harmony with her mother Rose. She began singing with Southern Heritage, a group in the Southeast formed with her mother in 1989, having been heard on Willie's Roadhouse and signing with SongGarden Records out of Nashville, where she remained until getting married and moving to Branson in 2012. Deana loves music with harmony and never meets a stranger at a concert. She has three children four grandchildren and is married to Jonathan Edwards. Deana was nominated in the Top 5 Female Vocalist of the Year in Branson the past 4 years. She performs in an is the producer of Absolutely Country Definitely Gospel, the award winning show in Branson, Missouri as well as starring in The Sedaka Songbook and singing in The Milsap Almost Like A Song shows at the Majestic Theatre in Branson.
Lee was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and was Saved at the age of 8 in a General Baptist church after seeing his parents come to know the Lord. Lee began taking piano lessons at the age of 8, also, and was a top student and favorite in his piano class. He started playing piano as a church pianist at age 11. He was a successful Radio DJ being nominated in the Top 10 in both Southern Gospel and Christian Country radio and winning Small Market DJ of the Year in 1989. He was co-writer of Jeff and Sheri Easters " Morning's Coming" and "Praise His Name" with Bruce Haynes. Lee went on to tour with Country Music Entertainer, Moe Bandy, and played keyboards behind 22 other Country Music artists including T.G. Sheppard, Tanya Tucker, T. Graham Brown, Jimmy Fortune, Janie Fricke, Johnny Lee, and toured for 6 years as piano player for Country Music Superstar, Mickey Gilley. He now plays piano and sings with Faith's Journey on the road and with Absolutely Country Definitely Gospel as well as producing and performing In the Sedaka Songbook and Milsap Almost Like A Song
